MOVEit DMZ File Transfer Server
MOVEit DMZ is an enterprise-level file transfer solution that meets the highest security criteria and enables encrypted end-to-end transmission and storage of files.
MOVEit DMZ increases productivity and improves collaboration between employees, partners and customers with fast, easy and secure exchange of sensitive business data. This is done via encrypted messages and file transfers – with no need to purchase user licenses, install client software or manage keys. MOVEit DMZ does not overload you email system with files. The firewall does not need to be opened for attachments.
MOVEit DMZ can be used by a variety of clients which are typically used on desktops, notebooks, UNIX/Linux/Windows servers and IBM mainframes:
Web browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari via HTTPS (Secure HTTP). The use of Java or ActiveX Controls is not required.
However, by using freely available MOVEit Wizards, there is the possibility to extend functionality to SHA1 integrity checking and guaranteed delivery (transfer resume and retry).
Secure FTPS clients such as WS_FTP Professional, MOVEit Central, and various FTP over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) clients from third-party providers which support one of the 3 FTP over SSL protocols (IMPLICIT, TLS-P, TLS-C) and passive transfers are all possible with MOVEit DMZ with just 4 open firewall ports.
Secure SFTP clients such as WS_FTP Professional, MOVEit Central and a number of Secure FTP over SSH (Secure Shell) and SCP2 third-party clients.
MOVEit HTTPS clients like MOVEit DMZ API clients, MOVEit EZ Windows desktop client, and the free, commercially-supported MOVEit Xfer command-line client, all of which can be used to automatically exchange files with MOVEit DMZ.
AS2 and AS3 clients such as MOVEit Central and AS2 and AS3 third-party clients.
MOVEit DMZ was designed from the outset as a security solution that supports a wide range of common protocols and standards. It is neither an FTP server where security features have just been added, nor is it a secure file transfer program with open standards “bolted on”. Here are some examples of extensive security features that illustrate the “secure-by-design” MOVEit DMZ concept.
